What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Contact forms

When you contact us through the form on our website, we collect the personal information you voluntarily provide, which typically includes your name, email address, and the contents of your message.

We collect this information strictly for the purpose of responding to your inquiry and providing customer service. We do not use information submitted through our contact form for marketing purposes unless you explicitly give us consent to do so.

Please avoid sharing highly sensitive personal or financial information in the open message box.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors interact with our website. This tool uses tracking cookies to collect details such as your truncated IP address, device characteristics, and browsing behaviour.

Cross-Border Data Flow & Storage

The data generated by Google Analytics is transmitted to and stored by Google on servers located outside the province of Quebec (including in the United States and other global Google data centres). By opting into these cookies, you acknowledge this transfer.

Consent and Data Retention
In compliance with Quebec’s Law 25, Google Analytics is disabled by default on this website. No tracking or personal data collection occurs until you provide explicit, active consent via our cookie banner. You can refuse or withdraw consent at any time without penalty. Analytics data processed by our system is retained for a maximum period of 24 months before being completely anonymized.

What rights you have over your data

You can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
